The web series I've been scoring for the better part of the last year is finally going to be released! Classified Freaks Episode 1 will be broadcasting on the 24th of March at 7pm. So... I got a bit distracted at the end of the year and ran out of time to update things. Sorry! Here's a general update-
1) Instagram! I'm now on there. If you fancy seeing pictures I've taken, come find me!
2) Disavowed won two awards at Rack Festival; "Outside The Box" and "Audience Choice". To celebrate, selections from the score are now available here.
3) Biggest news last- I released a charity single in December! All profits from it are going to the Alzheimer's Society. The Alzheimer's Society are a cause very close to my heart, so I re-wrote one of my favourite carols, In The Bleak Midwinter, to raise money for them. It's a little past the season now, but if the January blues are making you fancy getting next year's Christmas music sorted, head to the link above and check it out.
Super psyched to be headlining the Sputnik Live gig on November 25th! Home Cafe, Birmingham, from 8pm. Going to be appearing with my friends Think Tank and Ticking Boxes for a few songs before the main set, so come check out what we do with wubby bass sounds.

‘The Magnetic Diaries’ is an innovative reworking of Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary in a contemporary English setting, by Forward Prize highly-commended poet Sarah James of Droitwich. The troubled, adulterous heroine, Emma Bailey, battles with romantic idealism, illusions about love, a stifling middle-class lifestyle, boredom and depression; pushing her life and marriage to the brink.
In a year when nearly 1 in 4 English women (24%) report having had depression[1] and while wide misunderstanding still fuels stigma and prejudice, Reaction Theatre Makers’ new show takes a fresh and compelling approach.
‘Highly Recommended’ by critics at the Edinburgh Fringe this year, ‘The Magnetic Diaries’ was described as “intensely moving” and the poetry as “divine. Rich, complex, visual, flowing and tumbling out with power and aliveness…” One reviewer wrote that the piece ‘‘shows how wondrous and creative life can be despite living with depression…”
Moving lyrical fragments, crafted poems from Emma’s diary, the warm prose of her husband’s voice and cool rationality of her doctor’s - together with subtle physical language and Joanna Karselis' compelling musical score conspire to make this solo show an immersive experience.
Thanks to funding from the Arts Council England, the atmospherically charged production, completes its national tour in Birmingham and London in October.

The Old Crown, Digbeth | 11th September | Time TBC
After an exciting time at the Fringe and working on some new compositions, I'll be back on stage with a guitar in my hands at the Old Crown, Digbeth, on Sunday the 11th of September. Stage times aren't confirmed yet so keep an eye on my Facebook and Twitter for more details.
Not long until The Magnetic Diaries hits the Edinburgh Fringe! This one woman poetry play has received great feedback so far, and we're really excited to be bringing up to Scotland.
As you could have guessed, I wrote the music for the play. It's a microtonally-inspired smorgasbord of violin, piano and electronics.

I'm slightly overexcited to SEE MYSELF ON THE MAC WEBSITE FOR THE FIRST TIME. The Midlands Art Centre is my spiritual home here in Birmingham, so to be playing there is super uber cool. It'll be outside if the weather is nice. I'll be playing a few new ones and a few old ones, and debuting my stunning new guitar (see below).

First blog post, woo! I'll be updating this regularly with new music, screenings, announcements, things I like, etc.
